Saka Haruna Audu is a medical doctor with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B., B.S.) from the university of Ilorin, Nigeria. He also earned a part 1 Fellowship Award in Radiology from the National Post graduate Medical College of Nigeria in 2014.

He started his Medical career as a Medical Officer in the Federal Medical Center, Katsina (2009-2011). He later proceeded to AKIH, Kano, where he was the Registrar, in the Department of Radio-diagnosis. Due to his diligence he rose to become the Senior Registrar II, and subsequently the Senior Registrar I, in the Department of Radio-diagnosis between 2014 and 2015. He is a leader who is of a strong character, empathy, selflessness, integrity and with organizational skills.

Saka Haruna was appointed as Commissioner for Health in 2016 by His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and also reappointed for that same office 2020.
He has attended several seminars and training programs in Radiology and others. He is married with children.
