There is Nobody in PDP that can defeat Yahaya Bello – Femi Fani Kayode
In an interview session with Reuben Abati on Arise television, Femi Fani Kayode was asked who his best presidential candidate for the APC is. He answered that question saying that he thinks Yahaya Bello is the best candidate.
He said, “I believe the best candidate for the party and for the country is Yahaya Bello, I have said it before and I stand by it, At the end of the day we will go to the field and when we get to the field the primaries would now determine the rest”.
Fani Kayode was asked why he thinks Yahaya Bello Is the best candidate for Presidency, he answered saying that “I have worked closely with him, I trust him and I believe he loves this country, he is extremely tough, he is decisive, he is young, he is dynamic and his word is his bond, a quality that is rare in Nigerian politics, once he says A it is A and he is forthright about it. Yahaya Bello is loyal to his own, he is loyal to president Muhammadu Buhari and he is also loyal to the party, for me loyalty is everything”.
“A lot of people don’t know that Yahaya Bello is inspiring because they have not gotten the opportunity to work closely with him.
Yahaya Bello has encouraged me and he has also made me believe in this country again, he also made me realise that there is still hope for all of us. There is nobody in PDP or Wike people’s party that can stand a chance of defeating this young, dynamic and strong Nigerian”.
2023: We’ve Perfected Yahaya Bello Presidency Masterplan, Youths Say
Youths in their number on Saturday, stormed Calabar, Cross River State, to sensitise others on Governor Yahaya Bello’s presidential ambition, reiterating that they are ready, no matter what happens among politicians, to install Bello as the next President.
The youths, from all over the country, especially South-East and South-South states, said, though they had over 20 million youths, with Permanent Voter’s Cards, already in the struggle for the actualisation of a Bello presidency in 2023, they would not stop educating more youths in a bid to rescue Nigeria from its current challenges.
The Coordinator, Rescue Nigeria Mission Project in the South-South, John Akainza, who led others to prevail on the Governor of Kogi State to declare his intention formally, promised him the unflinching and unconditional support of Nigerian youths for his ambition.
“We have been going from house to house, school to school, without you prompting us. I repeat that we are going to shock money politicians and show the world that we can install our own in Nigeria. Let the core politicians do their own. It will be the first time in the history of Nigeria that we will change the narrative.
“It is amazing how much everyone wants Governor Yahaya Bello to be there. People have seen how different he is from the pack. If Kogi State could turn around within such a short period, in all ramifications, including security, what else are we asking for?”
“I am glad to tell you that as of today, this is the only Governor that has been able to say it as it is even in the face of pressure. Everyone must strive to join in making history in our great country,” he added.
The South-West Coordinator of RENMISS, Bolanle Ninolowo, corroborated his colleague, saying, “On Yahaya Bello we stand. If there is any other youth singing another tune, we don’t understand that, and they are not part of us. This is the only candidate Nigerian youths have. He has demonstrated that our tomorrow is here in Kogi. We don’t want to be perpetual leaders of tomorrow but leaders of today.
“Voting him assures sound judgement across all sectors of the economy because his administration will be populated by fresh, intelligent, smart minds. Kogi is working today because of that. That is the only state where before the end of the year, their audited financial account is out, among other first feats.”
The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kogi State, Abdulkareem Jamiu Asuku, who was invited as keynote speaker, commended the youths for taking it upon themselves to create a Nigeria of their dreams.
He thanked them for identifying the good works of his principal in Kogi, noting that he would not disappoint them.
“With the many challenges he met on the ground in the state, he has proved that it takes capacity and the required will to effect true change. That is exactly what he will do when he becomes President. Thank you all for identifying this and many more. I will take your message to His Excellency,” Asuku said.
Kogi governor, shield of APC, says Senate President
The President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, on Thursday, described the Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, as the “shield” of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
According to a statement on Thursday, Lawan spoke during the inauguration of Senator Yakubu Oseni’s constituency projects across Kogi Central.
“The Governor of Kogi State, , Alhaji Yahaya Bello is the Shield of APC in Nigeria, and therefore he is the Sarkin Yaki of APC in Nigeria,” the Senate President was quoted as saying.
He also commended Oseni for being invaluable to the 9th Senate despite being a first term lawmaker, noting that he had gathered robust experience, which automatically placed him in vantage position to lead the sensitive Senate Committee on Information and Communication Technology/Cyber security, including membership of other committees.
He noted that the 600 capacity JAMB CBT centre facilitated by Oseni would have generational impacts on the teeming youths of Kogi Central who seek admission to schools of higher learning.
Bello had earlier highlighted the successes of APC in the state, just as he reaffirmed that his administration would not relent in supporting visionary leaders that could impact positively on the people in line with his party’s vision.
The governor, who was represented by his deputy, Edward Onoja, also noted that Oseni’s legacy projects across Kogi Central had been unprecedented.
In his response, Oseni commended the governor for supporting his dream to serve the people of Kogi Central as Senator, while emphasising that he would never act in a way that would jeopardise the confidence reposed in him.
CITATION OF HIS EXCELLENCY YAHAYA BELLO, THE 4TH EXECUTIVE GOVERNOR OF KOGI STATE OF NIGERIA
His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, is the Governor of Kogi State, in the North Central Geopolitical Zone of Nigeria. Yahaya Bello is a prominent Nigerian entrepreneur with diverse and humongous investment interests across several sectors of Nigeria’s economy. Old friends agree that not only is he divinely blessed, but that he was blessed early. They testify that he became a billionaire early, and long before his foray into politics.
Those who know Yahaya Bello well will tell you how he was hurt by the underdevelopment of Nigeria, and his native Kogi in particular, especially how the roots of that underdevelopment was fertilized by the rampant corruption and arrogance of successive political elite and their public service and private sector collaborators. As a youth, he was pained no end by the suffering of the ordinary citizen and driven by radical ideas of a dream nation.
The foregoing, along with his belief in Muhammadu Buhari as the Change Agent for Nigeria, motivated him into politics, an undertaking at which he has also proved very successful – like in everything else he has tried his hands.
Born on 18th June, 1975 in Agassa, Okene Local Government Area of Kogi State, he spent most of his early childhood in his native Kogi State during which period he completed his early education before leaving to earn secondary and tertiary education qualifications in Suleja, Niger State and Zaria, Kaduna State respectively.
His Excellency bagged an outstanding Bachelors Degree in Accounting and an MBA in Business Administration from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University in staccato fashion. He was mobilised along with his mates into the National Youth Service Corps for the mandatory 1-year National Youth Service Corps and posted to the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
During his service year, and determined to be an entrepreneur rather than a civil servant he launched the Fairplus Group which quickly blossomed into a thriving conglomerate over the next couple of years. However, at the end of his service year, the young Yahaya Bello had so distinguished himself at work that he was retained by the RMAFC and rewarded with full employment into the Commission. This shifted his full-time self-employment dreams for a while.
Alhaji Yahaya Bello refused to rest on his laurels, studied hard and became a Chartered Fellow of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) in 2004 while continuing to excel at work. He earned rapid promotions through Revenue Officer, Revenue Officer II, Accountant and then Head of Department at his employer’s Zonal Office in Makurdi, Benue State.
Yahaya Bello’s serious work ethics and dedication catapulted him through the ranks at a relatively young age into the commanding heights of a Civil Service career. Before long he was promoted Assistant Chief Accountant of the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) of Nigeria.
Yahaya Bello, who had become a consistent and skillful investor in Nigerian securities in addition to the successes of his Fairplus Group rode the stock boom of the early 2000s and grew his nest egg into substantial wealth. He distinguished himself as a good judge of market and business trends and reinvested his money in real estate, transportation and other profitable sectors. In what must be a case study for serious investors, he grew a diversified portfolio which helped him to avoid the worse of the global economic meltdown of 2007-2008.
The economic meltdown was a turning point which reminded Yahaya Bello of his passion for private business and enterprise. Ever restless for fresh opportunities, he took the bold step of voluntary resignation from the Civil Service, and became a full-time entrepreneur. As the MD/CEO of a burgeoning conglomerate, he made numerous successful investments in the years following, considerably enlarging his net worth.
His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello is the chairman and founder of the Kogi Youths Arise Group, the political action group with which he prosecuted his campaign for Office in 2015. At first it was to mobilize young persons in Kogi State for increased roles in leadership and governance but it soon morphed into a tsunami of political action which helped him get elected as the youngest state Governor in Nigeria in 2015.
The group’s twin tenets of ‘not too young to run’ and a ‘New Direction Agenda’ encapsulates the Governor’s passion for youth to get involved in politics and to try out fresh, if controversial ideas, in Office. His New Direction Blueprint purposely weaponises the Sustainable Development Goals and laser-guides them to attack the systemic poverty endemic in his state using the UN/Oxford Multidimensional Poverty Indices. It is the first time a Nigerian subnational Government will be showing such
For his sterling successes in governance, Governor Yahaya Bello is the recipient of many awards from prestigious institutions, both within Nigeria and internationally. It is however a measure of His Excellency’s values that one of the most cherished is the first ever Inspector-General of Police Award for Excellence In Security Governance. It was an award bestowed exclusively on him by Nigeria’s then top cop for his Administration’s successes in turning Kogi State from the most insecure state in Nigeria outside of the North East, into the safest state in the country within two years of taking Office, according to data from the National Bureau for Statistics (NBS) and other rating agencies.
His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is a leading performer in the Vision 2030 of the United Nations via the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He has exceeded the 35% Affirmative Action for Gender Equity and Youth Inclusiveness. No wonder he is the recipient of the Most Gender Sensitive Governor Award from the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) which also invested him as the He-For-She Ambassador of Nigerian Women 2021. UN Women and AU ECOSOC have also issued him prestigious Commendations for his exemplary leadership in gender equity.
Governor Yahaya Bello is a committed party man and a matchless political operative who has delivered for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in every assignment handed to him by the National Executive Council (NEC). His Excellency played prominent roles in the APC’s electoral successes in Ondo, Anambra, Edo and Ekiti States. His Excellency is the Treasurer, Progressive Governors’ Forum.
Recently, His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State was appointed Chairman of the Youth, Women and Persons Living With Disabilities (PLWDs) Mobilisation and Sensitisation Committee for the APC Membership Registration and Revalidation Exercise, 2021. As all and every Nigerian can attest, Governor Yahaya Bello helped to attract millions of young to older people across the nation to the APC through a colourful and impactful drive during the exercise. Recently, while writing to the President as leader of the party, the national leadership of the APC acknowledged that Governor Bello’s work in this capacity was indeed a turning point for the party. They wrote:
‘(The) Youth, Women and People Living with Disabilities’ Sensitization and Mobilization Committee contributed tremendously to the success recorded in the nationwide membership registration/re-validation exercise’.
Yahaya Bello had proven his mettle once again.
Alhaji Yahaya Bello is a philanthropist who, long before he ventured into politics, was already deploying his personal funds to run three orphanage homes while sponsoring scores of undergraduate and postgraduate students in various higher institutions within and outside Nigeria. He is still neck-deep in philanthropy to this day.
Yahaya Adoza Bello is a devout Muslim who is happily married with children. His hobbies include reading and travelling, although he has fully sacrificed the later in order to sit at home and focus on the job of governing his state and people. In the 6 years he has led Kogi State, he has only travelled out of the country twice – both time on assignment with or for the President.
It goes without saying that in Nigeria’s leadership space today, Yahaya Bello is the undisputed front-runner in security, affirmative action, youth inclusivity, unity and diversity. He is the bridge-builder who has stepped in to restore peace and unity to the nation when crisis loomed large. For example, during the face-off between Northern and Southern parts of Nigeria caused by the Shasha Market crises and subsequent blockade of food shipments to the South, Governor Yahaya Bello brokered a peace deal which not only caused trade to resume normally but also stopped planned reprisal attacks against southerners in the north.
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State is popularly known in the media as ‘The White Lion’ and ‘The Stormy Petrel’ of Nigeria’s current political dispensation. The former salutes his strength of character and untainted reputation while the latter references his penchant to confront and ride out storms, unafraid. And to his teeming supporters across Nigeria, His Excellency is, by the grace of Almighty God, is a man for today and for tomorrow.
2023: Group storms Lagos, says Yahaya Bello ‘ll fix Nigeria’s problems
By Olasunkanmi Akoni
A group under the auspices of Rescue Nigeria Mission, RenMiss, has urged the youths in the South West region of Nigeria to support the 2023 presidential aspiration of Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello inorder to ensure vibrant representation in changing the political narrative of Nigeria in the interest of the masses.
The group, along with thousands of youths from across the six states of the South-West, gave the urge on Saturday, when they converged on Lagos to boost support for Governor Bello 2023 presidential bid, as well as the need for Bello to contest in the poll.
RenMiss which insisted that it was Bello or no other person for President in 2023, vowed to rewrite what they described as “Nigeria’s political history” of “recycling old, tired politicians”, vowed that they were ready to also disgrace money bags with their money.
The group, affirmed that like their counterparts in the Northern states, they were ready to mobilise heavily for the Kogi State Governor no matter what happens within his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.
South West Coordinator of the youths, Shola Saheed, speaking at the South West Zonal launch and induction programme, stressed that; “We are excited today that all our youths are keying in. As we speak today, over 20 million youths (PVC holders), at home and abroad, are already actively involved in the struggle to install our own, Governor Yahaya Bello, as President. Others are already trooping in.
“We are set to change the political narrative, rewrite political history of Nigeria. We will not listen to godfathers (‘Baba sope’), we will collect their billions if they bring it, but we assure you, we will put Yahaya Bello there with our numbers. Bello is the only man in the race who can fix Nigeria myriad problems.
“Don’t ask me how we will do it. Just watch and see how we would rescue this nation resolutely and peacefully.”
Sajeed maintained that the youths’ involvement in politics was not tied to any political party, noting that with the capacity Governor Bello had displayed in Kogi State and within his party, they would queue behind him to rescue Nigeria.
“Mark today’s date. This is the Lagos declaration of Nigerian youths for Yahaya Bello. We will say we said so after his inauguration in 2023,” he noted.
The Chief of Staff to Bello, Abdulkareem Asuku, who was invited to witness the South-West declaration, commended the youths for their unflinching support for his principal and promised that he would not let them down on the call on him to contest.
He said, “Governor Yahaya Bello is the face of the youth in the Nigerian government system. Kogi State is the centre of Nigeria, being the only state bordering 10 states, including the Federal Capital Territory, FCT. Hahaha Bello came on board as governor and governed Kogi State without a porous border.
“The economy and Internally Generated Revenue, IGR of Kogi State tripled within the short period. Such a man who has been able to transform the economy of Kogi State, unite the people and fix security issues in record time is the man Nigeria needs.
“The South-West youths of Nigeria are here in Lagos to call for a replication of what is happening in Kogi State in the larger Nigeria. Thank you for standing by the truth. Only the truth can address the challenges of Nigeria,” he affirmed.
Transparency and Open Governance.
2023 Presidency: Transparency and Open Governance.
Looking into one of the characteristics of the future leader of the nation, Governor Yahaya Bello is imbued with a professional ethos acting in furtherance of the public good, the rule of law, transparent processes, and a strong civil society participation in public affairs.
World Bank defines Good Governance as the one epitomized by predictable, open, and enlightened policy-making.
In this light, transparency and accountability – as one of the characteristics of Good Governance, is a bedrock upon which Yahaya Bello built his administration, and this is perceptible in the institutionalization of the Bureau of Public Procurement to ensure compliance with the Public Procurement Act, which decentralized the procurement process and stimulated due diligence practices in Ministries, Department, and Agencies (MDAs). This has led to quality delivery of services as well as ensure value for public funds.
Furthermore, Governor Yahaya Bello has consistently ensured the publication of the State’s yearly financial statements. This qualified the State to participate in the World Bank’s States Fiscal Transparency, Accountability and Sustainability Programme (SFTAS 2019) where it came out first position among other States.
The administration of His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, has a deliberate policy of fidelity and cooperation with the Federal Government. This synchronization with the Federal Government has resulted in the injection of about N1.3Bn monthly into the State’s economy since February 2018, through the various Social Safety Net (SSN) and Social Intervention Programmes (SIPs).
About 179,156 beneficiaries have benefitted through the various programmes in the State ranging from N-Power, Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme (GEEP), Conditional Cash Transfer (CTT) and Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (HGSFP). These have helped to provide employment, increased intervention in public schools, market women economy and monthly grants to the poor and vulnerable in the State. institutionalizing it
Furthermore, Governor Yahaya Bello is responsive to the present and future needs of the society.
This can be seen in his deployment of the knowledge-based technology, Kogi State Open Governance and Accountability System (KOGAS) as well as the Kogi Digital Album – a platform meant to bridge the gap between government and the people.
It assures that corruption is minimized, the views of the minorities are taken into account and that the voices of the vulnerable in society are heard in decision-making and they can as well see their democracy dividends translating to impactful policies, programmes and projects even as they have access to real-time monitoring and evaluation.
A Nigeria with an innovative leader like Yahaya Bello is a recipe for accelerated socio-economic development and sustainability.
2023 PRESIDENCY: Women Revolutionary Politics!
For the 2023 general election, Nigerian women have expressed a footnote of caution to governorship and Presidential candidates that their votes is for a leader who include women in the system of government.
It is noted that Governor Yahaya Bellos gender-friendly policy is unprecedented in the political history of Nigeria. It is a policy that other state governors should facsimile. The Governor has set a standard for a race on how best to run an administration of inclusion that not only recognizes the role of women in politics but also offering them high-visibility offices, such that they could play an active part in shaping and implementing policies for a balanced and solid development of the nation.
In line with his inclusion policy; Governor Yahaya Bello has been honored on the premise that he has surpassed the United Nations 35 per cent affirmative action, having also appointed women to strategic positions in his government.
Women in the state have risen up to support him as well as set to tour around the country creating awareness to other women that they could be involved in contributing to the growth and well-being of the economy in the country. The success story being recorded in Kogi state strengthens the saying that behind a successful man is a woman. Kogi is working because women are manning strategic positions in the state.
As record has indicated, Kogi state is the state where a woman is the ADC to the Governor. This is not enough, the Secretary to the State Government is a woman, the Head of Service is a woman, all the Vice Chairmen of the Local Governments are women, among many other female appointees.
Governor Yahaya Bello will get women’s support all the way because he knows how to make a nation great by women inclusion.

The lawmakers commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his purposeful leadership and also eulogised Governor of Cross River State, Ben Ayade, for promptly connecting the state to the centre and for being the first in the South South geopolitical zone.
grow the party and attract eminent Nigerians into its folds.
Part of the communique issued by the forum read: “That we have painstakingly brainstormed on the political developments in APC, vis-a-vis the need for Nigeria to chart a course to a more secure and prosperous country and, therefore, decided to throw our weight behind the presidential bid of the Governor Bello.
“That we acknowledge that Governor Bello has, against all odds, forged ahead in his quest for the office of the president in 2023, and therefore, thank him for his tenacity.
“We assure him of our support. The meeting also agreed to call on the leadership of APC to zone the presidency to the North.”
