E-Exco: Kogi debuts state-of-the-art e-facilities for State Executive Council
On 2nd October, 2024, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Ahmed Usman Ododo, FCA, unveiled the new Kogi State Executive Council (SEC) Chambers equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including e-conferencing facilities for the SEC meetings. His Excellency noted that the development reaffirms commitment to transparency, innovation and progress across all sectors by his Advanced New Direction Administration in Kogi State.
The marathon session started with an hour-long orientation for the Governor, the members and those in attendance on the new facilities. The business session dwelt on governance objectives of critical importance, with presentations, debates and approvals of projects on infrastructure, human capital, education, health, culture and tourism, social welfare, investment and security, agriculture, etc dominating the session.
Speaking after the meeting, Barr. Moses Okezie-Okafor, the Kogi State Director-General of Research and Development and head of Kogipedia said the new State Executive Council Chambers has cuttingedge e-EXCO capabilities and marks the attainment of another strategic policy objective by Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
According to him, ‘the target has always been modern governance – and this is transformational. The deeper integration with technology truly upgraded the quality of our deliberations today. There was seamless interface at the touch of a button with documents, other delegates and secretariat services. The enhanced ability for the Chairman to run the meeting from his monitor, the ability to vote on issues and receive instant and accurate results, among other features that we test-ran yesterday helped us to cover much greater mileage than before.’
Kogipedia commends the Governor for his visionary strides and also extends same to Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, the Secretary to the Government of Kogi State, within whose purview this falls. She has outdone herself on this one as usual. We note that the Kogi State Government, by this development, is much better equipped to deliver on our principal’s promises of Continuity and Consolidation to the people of Kogi State.
