Ensuring Access to Education: Gov Ododo Commits N600 Million for WAEC Fees of 18,734 Kogi Students
The Chief Servant of Kogi State, His Excellency Ahmed Usman Ododo, has approved N600 million for the payment of WAEC fees for 18,734 students in public secondary schools.
This follows the free education policy implemented in 2023 by former Governor Yahaya Bello, CON, which included covering fees for WAEC, NECO, JAMB, and other examinations for students in the state’s public schools. This commitment to ensuring ‘Zero Out-of-School Children’ has been sustained with consistent funding under Ododo’s administration.
This initiative provides substantial relief for the parents of these students during challenging times for our nation and has also increased enrollment of students in our public schools today with excellent performance.
