The Kogi State Government has acquired brand new fire fighting trucks as she moves to establish a state fire service for the first time since the creation of the Confluence State.
His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, who promised to set up the Kogi State Fire Service before he leaves office has once again kept his word.
Residents of Lokoja, the state capital and environs can now heave a sigh of relief in the knowledge that fire incidents will no longer go unchallenged. It will be recalled that several high profile fire-related tragedies have hit the town in the last couple of years leading to loss of lives and properties.
