OMOFAIYE VICTOR ADEWALE
OMOFAIYE VICTOR ADEWALE, COMMISSIONER FOR ENVIRONMENT.
OMOFAIYE VICTOR ADEWALE is the Commissioner for Environment of Kogi State.
He is renowned for his exemplary selfless service and absolute devotion to meet the yearnings of the people of Kogi State. He obtained his first degree in English Language (BA) from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria in 1999.
He has been active in the political space since 2001. He was the personal assistant to the Chairman House Committee on Science and Technology, National Assembly (2001-2003), Legislative Assistant to the Chairman House Committee on Works, National Assembly, Abuja (2003-2007), Elected Councilor Ekinrin-Adde Ward, Ijumu Legislative council (2008-2011), Legislative Aide to the Chairman Senate Committee on FCT, National Assembly, Abuja (2011-2014) and in 2015 he was elected Member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Lokoja. He was the Chief Whip of Kogi State House of Assembly from 2015-2019.
Omofaiye Victor Adewale was appointed as Commissioner for Environment by Governor Yahaya Bello in 2020. His integrity, strong character, diligence, selfless and pragmatic traits has always defined his leadership as a political leader. He has attended several trainings and conferences both local and international.
The proactive leader has made awards ascribed to him, amongst which are; Nigeria Humanitarian Icon Award (NIHIA) 2015, Child’s Dream Award of Excellence (2016), Award of Legislative Excellence (2017) ND National Youth Council of Nigeria Award (2017).
He is married and blessed with children. His hobbies are reading, researching and travelling.
